Mr. Deepthi Lokuarachchi is a distinguished corporate leader with over three decades of experience specializing in the Insurance and Healthcare sectors. He retired from Executive Corporate Leadership roles in July 2025.

Mr. Lokuarachchi is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd.
Former Appointments:
His last role prior to retirement was as the Group CEO of Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC. Lanka Hospitals was ranked as the best performing hospital among six listed hospital companies in Sri Lanka for the year 2023/2024 by KSeeds Investment Ltd. He was also awarded the Best Healthcare CEO, Sri Lanka in 2022, for the transformative journey initiated under his leadership at Lanka Hospitals.
Prior to Lanka Hospitals, Mr. Lokuarachchi also held leadership roles in HNB Assurance PLC (MD/ CEO), Govt. Sector Insurer Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd (CEO), and AIG Sri Lanka & Maldives, where he served as Assistant Managing Director and Local Head of operations of this renowned multinational conglomerate owned by the US-based AIG Inc. Mr. Lokuarachchi is a respected and recognized professional, known for his successes in driving profitability, implementing governance frameworks, and contributing significantly to the Insurance and Healthcare Industries in Sri Lanka.
In addition to his notable achievements, Mr. Lokuarachchi delivered double-digit growth and tripled EBITDA at Lanka Hospitals, leading the brand to win the Best Healthcare Brand in 2022 and Most Awarded Healthcare Provider in 2023. Drove group PAT from LKR 197 Mn to LKR 1.1 Bn at HNB Assurance and regained market leadership in general insurance at Sri Lanka Insurance in 2014. Also secured the Gold Award for the Annual Report at the TAG Awards in 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Lokuarachchi holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Colombo and was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in 1996. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager.
